How to feel more ~aesthetic~ in your life

Besties… let’s talk ✨aesthetic✨.
I get DMs all the time asking how I make my space, my content, my life look so dreamy. So today, I’m spilling ALL the tea.

Here’s the first secret:
I’m not aesthetic all the time. I promise you. I have ADHD, and while I love a clean and cozy space, it doesn’t always look Pinterest-perfect. And that’s okay.

When I film, I pick little corners that feel cute — my bathroom counter, a tidy bedside table, a sunlit spot on the floor. I move things around. I light a candle. I romanticize the moment.

Because being aesthetic isn’t about chasing likes or copying someone else's vibe — it’s about being present and creating moments that feel good to you. It’s about turning ordinary days into little love letters to your future self.

So if you want to feel more aesthetic in your real life, here are some of my favourite, ADHD-and-chaos-friendly ways to romanticize the everyday:

1. Use Your Prettiest Things

You know the hair clip you’ve been “saving”? The dress that feels too nice to wear to the grocery store? The beautiful glass at the back of the cupboard?

Use. Them.
Put the fancy clip in your hair just because it’s Tuesday. Drink your smoothie from the pretty glass. Wear the dress while walking the dog. Your life is the occasion, bestie!

2. Make a Soundtrack

Music changes everything. Whether it’s soft piano in the background while you journal or full-on pop girlie anthems while you do your skincare, music makes you feel like you’re in a movie montage. You’re dancing through your to-do list. You’re the main character.

I keep playlists for every vibe — cozy, dreamy, confident, healing. Give your life a soundtrack.

3. Little Treats = Big Magic

Aesthetic doesn’t have to mean expensive. Some of my favoUrite romanticized moments are free!!!

  • Light a candle while you stretch.
  • Do a fancy chocolate drizzle in your iced coffee.
  • Bake cookies and eat them warm, with no guilt and lots of joy.
  • Open your windows and let the sunlight hit your face.
  • Put on lip gloss just to go to the mailbox.

These tiny rituals tell your brain to appreciate every moment!

4. Slow it All Down

A lot of the “aesthetic” stuff you see online is really just people taking their time and making things feel special.

When you’re brushing your hair or picking out an outfit, don’t rush — put on your favoUrite playlist and enjoy it. When you make a snack or breakfast, try putting it on a cute plate like you’re at a little café. And when you tidy your room, maybe turn on fairy lights or spray your favoUrite body mist so it smells amazing.

You don’t have to be in a hurry. Take your time and make everyday things feel a little more magical. You totally deserve that.

5. Romanticize Yourself

Film little vlogs, even if you never post them. Capture your morning light, your favorite outfit, your sleepy smile in the mirror. Watch them back and remind yourself: your life is something to smile about — even on ordinary days.

Tag me if you post them — I want to see your aesthetic, your way. 💫

Besties, being “aesthetic” doesn’t mean perfect. It doesn’t mean curated. It means choosing to see your life as art — even the messy, undone, still-learning parts. Especially those.

So go light a candle, use the good cup, and tell yourself: this moment matters. Because it does. And so do you. 💕
